The Water polo Bissone Society (SPB) was founded on May 31, 1974. The first historic match played by the SPB is the friendly match BISSONE - ARBON held at the Lido of Maroggia.

The season 1983/1984 became very important in corporate history, the SPB got his first historic promotion to Swiss Water polo league. In that season the team ended the season unbeaten, thanks to the superb performance of De Stefani, Baumgartner and Van Der Bosch, led by great Petch. Each year the SPB competes in several numerous Swiss Water polo league seasons, getting decent places.
