Swimming Club Schaffhausen founded in 1899 is one of the oldest swimming clubs in Switzerland. During this long period of time the swimmers have already gained many Swiss champion titles and records. In 2006 and 2014 Swiss junior championships were held in Schaffhausen.

The water polo players have already taken part in the top division at many championships and in 2004-2005 could celebrate becoming Swiss champions. Junior water polo team also gained some medals at the championship.

Since 1977 a qualified trainer of the swimming school has been teaching children and adults. Many of them turn out to be talented from their first contact with the water.
